Why

The name ViaMens is derived from the Latin words Via and Mens.

The Romans were masters of engineering, especially when it came to roads and waterworks. Where there was a will, they built a way (via). Natural obstacles were no match for them—they reshaped the environment to ensure their armies could move efficiently to and at their destination. Traders and other travellers also benefited greatly from these routes.

The photo you see on this website was taken near the Limes in Utrecht. Two thousand years ago, the Romans used this term for the northern border of the Roman Empire—now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The attentive observer can still spot remnants of that time. I would be happy to take a walk with you there.

The winter landscape in the photo symbolizes the state many organizations are in when they first start working with ViaMens. Just like the Romans on the move, companies are constantly navigating their environment in search of improvement and success. There are many ways to reach a goal, but the right path is the one that is carefully chosen—or deliberately created. The Latin word mens, mentis means “mind” or “intellect.” The path chosen and followed with clear thinking and the right mindset will always lead to better results and greater impact: ViaMens.

ViaMens supports entrepreneurs and leaders in choosing and walking that path. We help them recognize and seize opportunities, remove obstacles, and identify pitfalls before they become problems. After all, small missteps can lead to major financial consequences—or even legal conflicts.

The name ViaMens also serves as a metaphor: the overall productivity of any organization depends on the people within it. That’s why it is so important for every entrepreneur, executive, and manager to truly know their team. The right leadership creates the conditions in which people can—and more importantly, want to—use their talents to the fullest. We often say that people are our most valuable assets, but are we truly giving them the attention they deserve? Let’s think about them together—and create more space for them to think about what they can contribute to the organization.

Because results and success are achieved through and with your people. That’s what ViaMens stands for—and how we work, always.
